Remember the good old days of horror with Robert Englund, Tony Todd, and Kane Hodder? I do… and this movie not only relives them, but adds the right amount of comedy to make it absolutely hilarious.
I haven’t seen effects like this in quite a long time. The blood and gore are on point for practical effects in a Horror/Comedy. The acting is both good and bad, seeming to dance between them in perfect rhythm, according to what it is the movie might be demanding at the moment. The serious moments are serious, and the comedic moments are gold.
It’s rare that I feel this strongly about a Horror/Comedy, but even though the scare factor isn’t as high as I would like it, everything is else right in line with where it should be. This is a movie I see myself watching over and over again… and as such it gets the rare distinction of five out of five bloody kitties – seriously, you need to watch this one.
