This movie revolves around the idea of not having one of your senses. Imagine being in a life or death situation… but you can’t hear the person coming for you. Imagine not even knowing that they’re there, despite the fact they’re standing right behind you – that is the situation put forth in this movie.
While addressing the obvious life or death issues, it covers a number of the ways that a deaf person gets along in the world of today’s technologies. How they use various things that hearing people may take for granted. For me, some of the movie is extremely creepy, especially since when I’m concentrating on something I do shut out the entire world to the point of not hearing/seeing things around me. The only relief I have is that it’s not to the point of being deaf.
This movie is great at building up suspense, and making you consider other ways of thinking, not to mention demonstrating an entire way of life. A solid four kitties for being entertaining and unique.
